For the end of the year I left Germany in favor of some much-needed enjoyment in Gran Canaria. But much like the first time I visited during my artist residency, things were darker than they seemed despite the tropical island setting.

Things started slipping away as the year came to an end. I found myself anxious and crying frequently without knowing why, and neither exercise nor company brought me relief.
