After settling in at my new place, it became apparent once more that serene surroundings are not a guarantee for peace of mind. There’s a fine line between ease and grit where my neurotic self feels grounded, and I longed for ways to bring the grit back in – like making the switch from my sleek coworking space to a messy art studio.
