Sketchnotes for workshop in Istanbul
“Maybe you cannot make something completely new, but you can use your own angle. Follow your instinct.”
At the end of April, the cultural platform Maviblau hosted the “CoCreate” workshop week in Istanbul, which I co-organized. In the premises of the Turkish arts organization Katadrom, participants from both countries learned from photographers and videographers Kenan Özcan and Özgür Ulussoy how to approach and conduct video interviews. This included using simple equipment, such as a mobile phone camera – although professional equipment is, of course, preferable. I documented the workshop in sketchnote form in my sketchbook. While I don't work in video production, I still learned a lot that I can apply to my own work. During my time in Istanbul, I also led a workshop myself, which I will write about in my next blog post.
