The Hiero Archives
Through the Hiero Archives, the craft of tattooing is returned to its origin as a slow, intentional process.
The designs in this archive are fragments extracted from my personal visual diary, psychological processes and explorations of the collective subconscious that are universal by nature. Every drawing is unique and is rendered as a tattoo (seal) only once. After a fragment is integrated into a body, that chapter is permanently closed.
I do not use machines. The vibration and noise of a tattoo machine is an additional load on a highly sensitive nervous system. Handpoking is a slow and gentle manual method that respects the body’s capacities.
